St. Andrew Early Childhood Center, in Apex, North Carolina is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated and qualified preschool director to lead a growing school academically and spiritually and to serve its approximately 140 early childhood students. St. Andrew Early Childhood Center has provided a safe, loving, faith-filled early childhood education to children in our community for over 36 years. The ECC program strives to provide an environment in which the spiritual, social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth of the child is fostered. Being a Catholic center, we will incorporate Bible stories, prayer, and Christian values into our daily lessons. We hope to emphasize the importance of each unique individual and to promote the value of each child's ideas, feelings, and actions. Daily activities focus upon appropriate developmental levels for each age. Intellectual and physical activities (both gross motor and fine motor) are included each day to challenge and stimulate the growing child. Colors, shapes, letters, and number concepts are taught at each child’s level of understanding. Most importantly, the children learn how to play with their peers in a cooperative manner, learning to share with others and create friendships. We work together with parents to help each child find happiness and security in his/her ever-expanding world.

Schedule: Full Time - 40 Hours Per Week

- Be an active, fully initiated, practicing Catholic dedicated to collaborative ministry and the advancement of the vision of the Church as promoted by the Second Vatican Council.
- Be dedicated to the spiritual growth of our students and faculty.
- Be a mission-driven leader with strong integrity, sound judgment, excellent collaborative skills, and possessing a commitment to curriculum and staff development.
- Demonstrate successful experience in the areas of public relations and development, as well as budgetary and financial management skills.
- Exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in technology, ability to develop strategic and long-range planning, and be able to motivate others toward task accomplishment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Administration/Leadership or Early Childhood Education with a minimum of 3-5 years early childhood teaching experience. Experience as a Catholic School Preschool Director is preferred.
- Candidates who possess or are eligible to be licensed as an administrator by the N.C. Department of Public Instruction are preferred
- Successfully complete all necessary criminal background and reference checks.
- Complete Diocese-sponsored Safe-Environment Training prior to first day on campus
