Position Summary:
Infant of Prague Catholic School is seeking a passionate and innovative K–4th Grade STEM Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The ideal candidate will be committed to academic excellence, hands-on learning, and fostering a love of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in young learners. This educator will design and deliver engaging STEM instruction aligned with North Carolina state standards, while also supporting and modeling the Christian values and faith-based mission of our school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate STEM lessons and activities for K–4th grade students
- Align curriculum with North Carolina Standard Course of Study
- Integrate technology and engineering practices into daily instruction
- Foster critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Infuse Biblical principles and faith-based perspectives into STEM content and classroom discussions where appropriate
- Model Christ-like behavior and support students in their spiritual growth
- Lead or participate in classroom devotions, prayer, and other faith-forming activities
- Partner with parents and staff to nurture students academically, emotionally, and spiritually
- Utilize assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment rooted in Christian values
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary and faith-integrated learning opportunities
- Actively participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
- Uphold and promote the mission and vision of Infant of Prague Catholic School in all teaching and interactions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, STEM, or related field
- Valid North Carolina teaching license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Minimum of 3 years classroom teaching experience (preferably in STEM or elementary education)
- Strong knowledge of K–4 instructional strategies and child development
- Experience with project-based learning, STEM labs, and hands-on instruction
- A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to living out your faith
- Willingness to integrate Christian worldview into academic content
- Commitment to fostering an equitable, inclusive, and Christ-centered learning environment
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks.
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training
