Key responsibilities:
- instruct students in math curriculum, per diocesan guidelines
- serve as an advisor to small group of Middle School students, providing a safe place for them to strengthen academic and social-emotional competencies
- integrate technology and innovations into classes
- Understand the content, create cross-curricular connections, and design instructional plans that include higher order thinking
- Collaborate with colleagues and administration in order to provide successful educational, faith-filled experiences for students
- Offer an elective based upon personal and student interests
Minimum Requirements:
- Candidates must have NC teaching licensure or have the qualifications to obtain NC teaching licensure
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, math or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience teaching Middle School Math
- Experience with technology and its integration into the curriculum
