Position Summary:
The Campus Minister is hired by and accountable to the Director of the Duke Catholic Center (DCC) with the endorsement of the Associate Dean of Duke Chapel/Director of Religious Life. Assists in the support of small groups, organizes and oversees the execution of events, and works with student leaders on campus.
Key responsibilities:
- Assuring the proper preparation and carrying out of events: retreats, socials, formation talks.
- Meeting students.
- Preparation of liturgies: Masses, Adoration.
- Work with student directors in supporting their responsibilities.
- Participate in coordination meetings with staff, including our development team, and FOCUS missionaries.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum level of Education: Bachelors degree
- Minimum amount of Work Experience: 2 Years of related work experience, even as a student.
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks.
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Practicing Catholic
- Experience working with FOCUS
