Bosco Conference

Every year the Franciscan University of Steubenville presents the Bosco Conference, which seeks to form, equip, rejuvenate and motivate lay ministry leaders in the task of evangelizing the people entrusted to them. For more information regarding speakers, tracks, schedule, visit the conference website.

2023 Conference

Registration for the 2023 Steubenville Bosco Conference is now open. Register online.

We encourage all those involved in ministry in our parishes and movements to attend! If you are going, please be sure to use our Diocese of Raleigh Ambassador Code SJB23RALNCPG when registering, as you will receive special perks and will be given priority seating together with the rest of our attendees from around the diocese.

Transportation for Parish Ministry Leaders

If you are a Parish Ministry Leader, you may be eligible for free transportation to and from the event courtesy of the Office of Evangelization and Discipleship. As in the past, we will meet in Raleigh and travel together via bus or van.

A ministry leader is someone who has been given special responsibility in ministry in a parish and directs other catechists and volunteers. Ministry leaders include parish staff members, youth ministry coordinators, RCIA coordinators, directors/coordinators of Religious Education, etc.

If you are unsure of whether you qualify for this, please reach out to Patrick Ginty, and he will direct you. If you are a ministry leader and register, be sure to use the code above and then send your confirmation email to Patrick Ginty to get on the list.

In July 2022, the Office of Evangelization and Discipleship led a small team of parish leaders to Steubenville to attend the Bosco Conference. You can read this news story about it.
