Position Summary:
St. Peter Catholic School in Greenville, NC is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 2nd Grade Teacher to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young learners, creating engaging lesson plans, and fostering a positive classroom environment.
As a 2nd Grade Teacher, you will be responsible for developing age-appropriate curriculum, implementing effective teaching strategies, and assessing student progress.

Key responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, teach, and interact with students in a professional way that challenges students to reach their individual potential
- Performance of professional responsibilities not limited to planning lessons, preparing instructional material, taking attendance, signing in and out daily, serving on staff committees, conferring with parents, maintaining positive relationships
- Implementation of the educational mission, philosophy, goals and objectives of the school both at the Diocesan and Parish level
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- Previous experience working with children.
- Must hold a NC Licensure in Education or equivalent from another state.
- Must be a Catholic in good standing with the church.
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks.
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training.
