Position Summary:
St. Mary Catholic School is seeking a Middle Grades Mathematics Teacher, 6th Grade Homeroom to join its team. This position will teach Math classes to half of our middle school students, grades 5th through 8th, and will also serve as the 6th grade homeroom teacher.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver enriching and meaningful Math lessons and content for a four classes, grades 5th through 8th.
- Coordinate 6th Grade Homeroom responsibilities.
- Collaborate with the other Middle Grades teachers in the Middle Grades PLC.
- Assess and grade students on their competency in Math.
- Maintain communication between school and parents.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Education or Math with NC License.
- 1-5 Years of related work experience in education
- Middle Grades teaching experience preferred.
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks and completing a diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training
