Position Summary:
The Diocese of Raleigh is seeking an Instructional Teaching Assistant to join The Franciscan School in Raleigh, NC. The Instructional Teaching Assistant assists the teacher in the creation of a classroom environment that is consistent with our Catholic educational philosophy and the mission of the parish and school.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support to the lead teacher by providing general assistance with daily tasks, planning for lessons, small group assistance, supervision of students, and assistance with special projects, such as field trips
- Collaborate as a member of the team to provide academic excellence for the students
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all student, family and school affairs
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous experience working with elementary aged students.
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks.
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training.
