Position Summary:
Cardinal Gibbons High School is seeking a High School Theology Teacher to join its team. Cardinal Gibbons High School is a private Catholic High School in Raleigh, NC. We are a college preparatory school of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh. We embrace the mission of Jesus Christ: to form men and women of faith, service, and leadership in church and community. Together, as educators, students, and parents, we move forward in faith to shape and inspire our students to be leaders in their communities today and tomorrow.
We are seeking applicants for a full-time Theology teacher to start in the Fall of 2024.
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant background and experience teaching Theology in a secondary school (9-12 grade).
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in theological studies preferred or in the process of obtaining one.
- Master Catechist certification is required
- Demonstrate proficiency with new technology and a willingness to integrate technology into classroom lessons.
- Possess the ability to contribute to other facets of school life beyond the classroom.
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with the other members of the Theology department and the whole school in academics, extra-curricular activities, and furthering the mission of our school.
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks.
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training.
