Hours per week: 35 - Full-time (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 9-5. Wednesday: 12:30 – 7:30). Occasional Weekend Hours.
Key responsibilities / day-to-day job functions:
- Assists director in planning and implementing Faith Formation and Sacramental Preparation Programs.
- Log participation in faith formation programs.
- Administrative duties such as collecting and logging payments, tracking attendance, and gathering paperwork for reception of Sacraments.
- Supervise volunteers for faith formation programs.
- Communicates with parishioners and faith Formation Families.
- Keep sacramental records.
- Participate in staff meetings.
- Answer phone as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality in all parish matters.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programming.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks.
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training within 60 days of hire.
- Active Member in good standing of the Roman Catholic Church.
- Minimum level of Education: Associates degree or equivalent office experience.
- Ability to function in a parish environment.
- Capacity to develop competency with ACS.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Team oriented – ability to work toward parish and staff goals.
- Responsive to parish and parishioner needs.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Area of related work experience: Catholic parish, school, or non-profit organization.
- 5+ years of related work experience.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Sacraments and Sacramental living.
