The Franciscan School is seeking a qualified classroom teacher for Middle School Language Arts. The primary role of the classroom teacher will be to instruct students in the Diocesan curriculum for Language Arts, while inspiring the students to move beyond their current level of academic success through our TFS literacy program and the curriculum standards of the Diocese of Raleigh. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to challenge the students to reach their full potential. As an instructor in a school with over 650 students, the ability to tie together the lessons within each grade as part of the grade level and Middle School ELA teams, and make them build upon each other year after year using established best practices and methods for instruction, is essential. The applicant would be responsible for working together with the entire faculty and the administrative team to provide a safe and academically challenging environment.
- Candidates must have NC teaching licensure or be able to obtain NC teaching licensure in middle grades language arts
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks
- Completing Safe Environment Training within 60 days of hire
- Preferred candidates will have teaching experience in language arts education and a record of excellence
