Position Summary:

This position ensures the flow of structured and unstructured data in a timely and secure manner to and from the Diocese of Raleigh and to optimize transfer of parish data. Determine, plan, and document efficient ways to organize, store, and transfer data with attention to security and confidentiality. Provides support to team members on various data projects within the department.

Key responsibilities / day-to-day job functions

  • Consistently update constituent data to maintain data integrity throughout database
  • Pull reports, queries, lists, and data extraction as needed
  • Create, compile, coordinate, and conduct parish training in support of data process and best practices
  • Provide support by utilizing the Data Operations ticketing system for internal and external requests
  • Work closely with staff to identify and troubleshoot data-related problems
  • Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of structured and unstructured data
  • Support team during high volume campaign periods by processing transactional data
  • Provide consistent customer service internally and externally throughout the diocese
  • Develop, document, apply and promote consistent database management standards through SOPs, knowledge base articles and well-defined workflows
  • Collaborate with parishes to translate, recommend, and develop solutions to specific data requests
  • Perform various duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks
  • Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training within 60 days of hire
  • Minimum level of Education: Bachelor’s Degree or relevant years of work experience
  • Minimum amount of Work Experience
    • Years of related work experience: 2+
    • Area of related work experience: Data and/or Operations

Additional Required Skills

  • Intermediate user in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel
  • Experience manipulating and analyzing data sets
  • Excellent collaboration skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • 2+ years of Raiser’s Edge experience, RENXT experience preferred
  • Proficiency with data management
