Key responsibilities / day-to-day job functions

  • General ledger maintenance
  • Issue checks, records all cash receipts, makes all necessary journal entries, and reconciles the bank accounts
  • Generates and analyze all reports required/requested by the pastor, business manager or appropriate diocesan personnel
  • Support preparation of budget by Business Manager

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum level of Education:  Combination education/related experience, Bachelor degree preferred
  • Minimum amount of Work Experience: 
    • Years of related work experience:  3-5 years
    • Area of related work experience:  bookkeeping, accounting, business finance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience church business management software – ACS preferred
  • Church/parish bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred


  • Volunteer finance assistants
