The Raleigh Area Kateri Circle was chartered in 2004 for the purpose of establishing a "home" for Native American Catholics and others interested in Native American Catholic spirituality. The circle is open to people from across the Diocese. The circle meets monthly with the purpose of praying for one another and all people through the intercession of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, our patroness. We gather as well to share fellowship and traditions and pass these on to our children.
We also work for the greater needs of the Tekakwitha Conference, the only national organization whose sole purpose is to support the interests of Native American Catholics in the United States and Canada.
Interested persons may inquire about joining our meetings by contacting the chaplain, Fr. Marcos Leon, “Padre Leon,” appointed by Bishop Burbidge to serve the Native American Catholic Community in the Diocese. His email address is NACC@Raldioc.org.
