A list has been issued from the Maryland Province of Jesuits that included any Jesuits associated with accusations of sexual abuse of minors dating from 1950. Among those listed was Fr. Jaime Guzmán. Fr. Guzmán served in the Diocese of Raleigh as a visiting priest at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church in Raleigh from 2005-2006. The Society of Jesus (Jesuits) received testimonies following Fr. Guzmán’s assignment in the Diocese of Raleigh by persons who, at the time of the events reported, were minors. Following the receipt of this information, the Diocese of Raleigh list of clergy with actionable allegations of sexual abuse of a minor has also been updated.
