Part-time (3 days per week) Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) position available.
Location: Burlington, NC.
Job Description: Carry out the operations and activities of Centro La Comunidad, the Latino family center of Catholic Charities serving Alamance County. Responsibilities include: ensuring that the program meets and maintains agency and professional standards; representing the program and agency in various public venues; program evaluation and development; grant reporting; recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising staff and volunteers; management of the office and facilities.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in human services field or equivalent experience, management experience in human services setting, and full verbal and written fluency in Spanish and English. Candidate must demonstrate: competency in the family support and social systems approach; ability to advocate for and with individuals and communities; ability to work effectively with and on behalf of a wide diversity of people from differing ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds; professional experience in a supportive role with vulnerable, economically disadvantaged, and/or undocumented clients; cultural competency; appreciation for cultural/ethnic diversity and the immigrant experience; excellent interpersonal skills; computer skills; knowledge of and commitment to empowerment strategies, Catholic social teachings, and the mission of Catholic Charities; authorized to work in the U.S. EOE.
