St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Cary, NC, a parish of 5,200 families, is seeking a Director of Middle and High School Faith Formation. This is a full-time position that will be responsible for the development and implementation of curriculum that is both informational and transformational for middle and high school youth. Responsible for Grades 6-12, including students preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation and post-confirmed students, programs designed (based on the Life Teen philosophy) should help attract youth/teens to parish and diocesan activities to engage them in a life of faith and discipleship. Additional duties include recruitment and training of volunteer adult leaders and the implementation of a parent oriented faith workshop series.
This full-time position requires active participation in programs which will include weekends and evening hours. Candidates must have a minimum of a 4-year degree related to the position and or equivalent experience. Must have experience overseeing a large volunteer-based team and providing youth and adult faith instruction. Proficiency with computers and social media platforms a must.
